Time is certainly not standing still for Stockholm based Missing Letters. With their third release of the year, ”Time (Stand Still)”, the duo has put together a quintet of captivatingly original sounds that make us wish we were at the club dancing.

The musical project named Missing Letters, launched earlier this year, has many things cooking. The adventure of Kimchii and Fredrik Stjärne forms a record label and also a band. The kick-off was the release of FRANGIE, a self titled EP getting well-deserved praise. Now they have moved on to their new and third release of the year, ”Time (Stand Still)”. The five unique and dance evoking songs play around in the electronic world, giving us a reason to turn up the volume and reminisce to the carefree days of summer.

The Stockholm based DJ and producer duo’s new EP was put together with the help of synthesizers, samplers and drum machines. Keeping it close to home, Kim and Fredrik also combine instruments like a live bass, a selection of guitars and jamming vocals.

”It’s the intense and free flow that makes Missing Letters”, the duo explains. “We search Freddie’s Octatrack sampler for loops and weirdness, record some classic Melotron sounds, add some of Kim’s funky guitar licks. Then we peel the banana for a very long time to make sweet candy of the fruit.”

In the title track ”Time Stand Still”, Missing Letters’ gives us a taste of their captivating sound, caressing us with mix of modern, alluring harmonies and contagious beats, which can easily be taken to the dance floor. Have a listen and get ready to move with the music.
